Hi! I’m Lance Xu, currently going to Central Bucks High School West and part of the class of 2023. I am particularly interested in the sciences, especially biology and chemistry. I plan on majoring in fields related to those topics and I plan on going to medical school. I hope in the future to be an anesthesiologist.

I interned for a lab, Greene Street Pharma, that researches and manufactures innovative transdermal products within the PA Biotechnology Center. This internship solidified my interests in the sciences by exposing me to a safe and educational laboratory environment where I was able to get exposure to many aspects of the lab, including research on a multitude of drugs, making formulations of a variety of drugs, making transdermal patches for the drugs, writing up lab reports about many aspects of the drugs, analyzing results from the drugs from HPLC outputs, and much more! My experience in the internship program gave me an invaluable insight into what my future plans hold.

I plan on returning to the lab I interned for periodically to help them out whenever I can, and I also plan on applying to join the Biotechnology program in my senior year of high school.
